Mission, Vision and Values
Building on our rich African-American heritage, St. Philip the Deacon provides a Christian home for social justice, community leadership, healing, evangelism and feeding God’s flock.
Clergy, Staff & Vestry
St. Philip the Deacon is led by its clergy, staff, Vestry and lay leaders. The Vestry is the governing body of St. Philip and is comprised of the Rector and up to nine elected lay members, a clerk and treasurer. The Vestry is led by a Senior Warden, commonly known as “The Rector’s Warden,” and a Junior Warden, who is the direct liaison to our building and facilities ministry.
