Rector’s Note: Building Neighbors

We want to be a haven for our neighbors. Every concern shared, every hope expressed, was infused by the heart of St. Philip: we have always been a haven for those unwelcome elsewhere, and we want to continue to cherish them as our beloved neighbors.

Making time for our children

The Children’s Ministry Team is developing plans to provide our kids with virtual opportunities to interact with our liturgy and each other. The program will launch on Sunday, October 11th at 11:15 on the same zoom link as Morning Prayer. Each session will last 40 minutes.

The completed bags are then sent to the HIV Day Center run by the Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon.  Thanks to seamstresses Viola Horton, Sarah…

Celebrating the Triduum

While Easter is every Sunday, the Great Three Days—the Triduum—are like one great Sunday. We have created a service booklet that allows you to pray the three central days of the Christian year at home or with family. The Maundy Thursday liturgy is designed to be done over a meal, or after, as you choose. Good Friday and the Easter Vigil will be celebrated via Zoom.
