I enjoyed the work of preparing the meeting, and the meeting itself, because God really is in the details, and the love God has for all creation is so clear in and through this community. We keep saying “yes” to God, and God keeps saying “yes” to us.

MLK Day Celebrations
Celebrate MLK Day around Portland and the nation with St. Philip the Deacon, the Union of Black Episcopalians, and our fellow siblings in Christ here in Portland.
Christmas Eve Carol Sing and Service
We will gather for Christmas Eve via Zoom on December 24th. We will start an open Carol Sing/Share at 6:30 and the Service will begin at 7pm.
Building Neighbors: Metro RFQ submitted!
On Dec 1, in partnership with with Second Stories, PCRI, Urban League and NW Pilot Project, we submitted our Metro Housing Bond RFQ. This is the first, and HUGE, step towards welcoming new neighbors! The last week before submission was a flurry of gathering details negotiating relationships, and clarifying partnerships. It is clear that we share a common vision for caring for our vulnerable black and elderly neighbors. We will be building housing for folks at the 30-50% MFI, people who really need inexpensive housing.

Testify before PSC: Standards for people living in mobile dwellings on private residential property are being proposed in the city’s Shelter to Housing Continuum Project (S2HC).
FREE Influenza Flu Shot Clinic
Hand Up Project is hosting a FREE Influenza Flu Shot Clinic The Multnomah County Health Dept is providing influenza immunizations at no charge to those in need.
