‘Good Grief’ support group at Trinity Cathedral, Tuesday Oct 10
This month’s ‘Good Grief’ grief support group with Chris Bell is meeting Tuesday, Oct 10th 6-7:30pm at Trinity Cathedral. It was mistakenly advertised as being held at St. Philip. It will be meeting in person at Trinity Cathedral at 147 NW 19th Ave, Portland, OR 97209

As we prepare for the Feast of All Saints service on Sunday, November 5th, please take a moment to look over the Necrology posted in the Parish Hall. We have lost several beloved church and family members this year and we want to make sure they are all remembered in our prayers. Rest Eternal: Allison Belcher
We are sad to announce that Allison Belcher died peacefully in her sleep early Monday morning surrounded by her husband and children after a period of time in hospice. Allison was beloved by St. Philip and will be missed. Memorial service arrangements will be announced as they become available. Housing Project Update: September 2023
Hello fellow members of St. Philip the Deacon, I am proud to present this update about our ongoing Alcena Housing Project to you. Through our connection with Second Stories (the project developer that has been attached to this project from the beginning) our project was introduced to Habitat for Humanity. Covid Exposure
There was a Covid exposure at church on Sunday. If you are feeling unwell, even with sniffles or cold-like symptoms, please mask and test yourself for Covid, Please let the church know if you test positive. We are entering the season for increased cases of Covid, flu, and RSV so please take care of yourselves and pay attention to respiratory symptoms. SafeChurch Due October 30th
If you serve at STPD in any capacity- vestry, EM, EV, altar guild, lector, greeter, book group leader, Saturday Lunch volunteer, hospitality, music leader, etc- you must complete the online SafeChurch training. Coffee + Conversation + Connection (C3) with Grace Memorial
Parishioners from St. Philip have been invited to join those from Grace Episcopal in their C3 program. All who self-identify as women are invited to attend and the group is kept intentionally small. Volunteers needed for Swing Night
Our first Swing Dance Night is coming up on September 28th from 5-9pm. We could use some volunteers to set up at 4pm and especially to clean up afterwards.
